Residens: My first space odyssey

Elefantteateret ønsker våre kolleger fra Polen velkommen til residens i Elefantteateret.

Wojewódzki Ośrodek Animacji Kultury og Elefantteateret er partnere i EØS prosjektet «My first space odyssey». Her er om prosjektet:

The "My first space odyssey" project is an activity implemented by Wojewódzki Ośrodek Animacji Kultury from Toruń, Poland, in partnership with Elefantteatret from Stravanger.

Its goals are to establish long-term cooperation with Norwegian artists, to acquire new capacities by artists and animators from the Kuyavian-Pomeranian region in the field of creating theater workshops and performances for children aged 0-3, and to expand the audience of community centers in the region to include parents of toddlers. This need is a result of the lack of such cultural offer and skills of professionals in the region.

The result of the study visit and intensive workshops in Norway will be the production of a series of workshops and a multisensory performance inspired by the cosmos, due to the year of Nicolaus Copernicus in 2023 - a figure of great importance to Toruń and the entire region. We will involve 7 partner cultural centers in small towns in the project, sharing the acquired knowledge with them and giving them a chance to put into practice the innovative methods. The project will also involve the refugee community from Ukraine - mothers with children and migrant artists.
